Abstract

L'invention concerne une cellule primaire alcaline à faible teneur en eau et grande durée de vie. La cellule plate renferme, entre une électrode positive 7 en oxyde de mercure ou oxyde d'argent et une électrode négative 13 en zinc ou cadmium amalgamé, des couches de séparation 9, 10 et 11. L'électrode positive 7 est disposée sur un treillis 5 en fil de nickel. Le bord bridé 12 des couches de séparation 9 et 10 est serré entre le couvercle 1 et un anneau d'étanchéité 4. L'électrolyte absorbé par les couches de séparation comprend un mélange d'hydroxyde de sodium, d'hydroxyde de potassium et d'hydroxyde de rubidium. Le nombre de mols d'eau par mol d'hydroxyde alcalin est compris entre 2,0 et 2,7 pour l'hydroxyde de sodium, entre 2,4 et 3,1 pour l'hydroxyde de potassium et entre 2,8 et 4,0 pour l'hydroxyde de rubidium. L'invention trouve son application dans la fabrication de piles pour les rythmeurs cardiaques.
