Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve proof against the leakage by means of a resin layer consisting of co-polymer high-molecule and interposed between a gasket in the sealed inlet and metal sealing plate. CONSTITUTION:A metal container 1 serving the mission of an anode terminal as well is filled with anode agent 2 made from silver oxide etc. and cathode agent 5 made from amalgamated zinc powder is piled and filled on it via a separator 3 and electrolyte retainer 4. The opening 1a of this container 1 is sealed with metal sealing plate 6 equipped with a gasket 7 and serving its additional mission as a cathode terminal, thus an alkaline battery can be formed. Then, a resin layer 8 is formed in the contact surface between the face of gasket 7 and metal sealing plate 6. This resin layer 8 is formed in a single layer made of co-polymer high-molecular resin composed of tetrafluoroethylene and ethylene, or a multiple layer including this resin and fatty acid family polyamide.
