Abstract
PURPOSE:To raise discharge performance as well as simplify manufacturing process by fining the grain size of silver oxide by the procedure in which the fine powder of reduced silver is molded and then oxidized to form anodic material. CONSTITUTION:The anodic material 1a formed by molding fine reduced silver powder as the main component is charged in the anode can 3a, and then on the material 1a, the cathodic material 1c is laminated through the separator 1b containing electrolyte. Then, the sealing part 3b is fitted into the can 3a through the gasket 3c and sealed to form the cell 3. Then the cell is charged to convert the reduced silver anodic material 1a into silver oxide (Ag2O) on the one hand, and also to reduce the cathodic material 1c (pasty zinc oxide for the silver oxide-zinc cell) into metallic zinc on the other.
