Abstract
Procédé de préparation d'une fine poudre d'oxyde hydrophobe par traitement de celle-ci avec un poly-organosiloxane en présence d'un catalyseur alcalin. On ajoute à la poudre, par rapport à son poids sec, au moins 1,5 % d'un poly-organosifloxane de poids moléculaire inférieur à 10 000, au moins 0,5 % d'ammoniac ou d'une amine aliphatique inférieure et au moins 1,5 %, d'eau, on laisse mûrir pendant au moins un quart d'heure, puis on chauffe le mélange entre 60 et 150 degrés C, les opérations de maturation et de chauffage étant effectuées sous la pression normale. La poudre hydrophobe ainsi obtenue peut être utilisée notamment comme charge pour matière plastique, comme ingrédient de peinture et adhésifs et comme fluidifiant pour diverses poudres.
