Abstract

The equipment recovers heat from a cooling system for a milk storage vat, producing hot water particularly for maintenance of dairy equipment. A refrigerating medium flows in a closed circuit in succession through a compressor raising its temperature, a condenser formed by an air heat exchanger where the medium yields up heat and condenses by heat exchange, and an evaporator in which it expands and vapourises by heat exchange with the milk to be cooled. Upstream of the air heat exchanger, the condenser has a water heat exchanger, thermally insulated in a liquid or solid storage and recovery material.
