Abstract

L'invention concerne la protection des occupants d'un véhicule. Ensemble de poches à air pour la protection des occupants d'un véhicule automobile lors d'un accident, comportant des poches à air pour le conducteur et le passager, gonflables sous l'effet de la décélération lors d'un accident, la poche à air destinée au passager étant gonflable en deux phases, dont la première est déclenchée lors d'un premier seuil de décélération S1 , et dont la seconde peut être déclenchée lors d'un seuil S2 , tandis que la poche à air destinée au conducteur n'est gonflable qu'une fois que le second seuil S2 de l'accroissement de décélération est atteint. Il est prévu un élément retardateur 9, 28, qui retarde au moins le déclenchement de la seconde phase de gonflage de la poche à air 2 du passager, par rapport au déclenchement de sa première phase de gonflage, d'un laps de temps bien défini DELTA T1 . Application à la protection progressive sans génération d'une pression sonore dangereuse, des occupants d'un véhicule.
