Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil de mesure de la longueur de la bande de roulement d'un pneumatique. Il comporte un laser produisant un faisceau qui rencontre le bord avant d'une bande de roulement placée sur une bande convoyeuse, et un premier détecteur qui émet un signal électrique indiquant le moment où le faisceau rencontre ce bord avant Un autre dispositif de détection sensible au contraste entre la bande de roulement et la bande convoyeuse détecte le bord arrière et émet un autre signal électrique. Un calculateur détermine la longueur de la bande de roulement en fonction des deux signaux électriques qu'il reçoit et de la distance entre les deux dispositifs de détection. L'invention s'applique à la fabrication continue des bandes de roulement de pneumatiques.
