These two relfected light are converted into an electric signal and a mutual correlation function is obtained by a mutual correlation device 4, and tauS where the correlation function comes to maximum is detected by a tauS detector 5. If the distance S has been found out in advance, the speed can be obtained through applying division between S and tauS.
