Abstract

La présente invention concerne une machine de lavage, du type comprenant une cuve 11, un tambour cylindrique 10 logé à l'intérieur de la cuve, animé d'un mouvement de rotation par un arbre d'entraînement 15 fixé au centre de l'une de ses parois d'extrémité, lequel arbre est supporté en rotation par un palier fixé de façon étanche dans une ouverture de la cuve. Selon l'invention, le palier est constitué par un coussinet 12 en matière de frottement, la face d'extrémité du coussinet opposée au tambour formant la contre-face fixe d'un dispositif d'étanchéité, la partie de l'arbre d'entraînement en contact avec le coussinet étant en une matière de frottement compatible avec celle du coussinet, les matières de frottement étant choisies pour se lubrifier à l'eau. Application aux machines à laver le linge.
