Abstract

The clip is used for holding a tobacco plant for drying. It comprises a metal ring (11), its inner diameter (12) being provided with several inwards pointing teeth (15) arranged over an arc. These teeth grip the plant when placed over the stem (13). On the side diametrically opposite the teeth is a hook. This is in the form of a prong (25), provided with a support (16) on each side, the space between being used for suspending the plant over a stretched wire (4). The rings can be pressed out of a sheet metal and are re-usable.
