Abstract

1,102,401. Pneumatically-operated bottle grippers. GRAHAM-ENOCK MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd. 11 Feb., 1965 [11 Feb., 1964], No. 5723/64. Heading B8H. A bottle gripper 1 has a tubular ring 3 which is expanded into engagement with the side of a bottle by compressed-air admitted through a conduit 10 and a connection 11. The conduit 10 may lead through a supporting rod 5. The ring 3 is open round its outer periphery and has flanges 7a, 7b which are clamped between spacing washers 8a, 8b by portions 4, 6 of the gripper. A resilient pad 12 prevents damage to the bottle. An annular supporting ring of hard rubber may be incorporated inside the ring 3.
