Abstract
Ce procédé est principalement caractérisé en ce que l'on règle l'intervalle entre cylindres de travail de la cage de laminage sur le côté aval de manière que l'angle de contact correspondant theta e Ø theta e = tg**-1(cos alpha x tg theta õ dans lequel theta représente l'angle de contact entre les cylindres de travail au fond de la gorge du cylindre et la pièce, et alpha représente l'angle d'inclinaison de la gorge), soit plus grand que tg**-1 mu ( mu représentant le coefficient de frottement entre la pièce et les cylindres de travail au moment de l'engagement) et aussi soit plus petit que tg**-1 mu ' ( mu ' représentant le coefficient de frottement entre la pièce et les cylindres de travail quand la pièce est engagée complètement entre les cylindres de travail et lorsque le laminage progresse). Ce procédé est utilisé pour le laminage avec un taux d'allongement élevé par passe unitaire.
