Abstract

To allow a roll collar or cuff on a cotton, or cotton mixt. garment to retain its shape through several wearings, it is interlined with a resilient cloth, of synthetic or natural, pure or mixed fibres. The collar (cuff) is pref. made of two pieces of facing cloth and two of lining, sewn together at the sides to form a tube, which is then doubled over to form the collar (cuff) and sewn to the garment by the free edges. The lining may cover the whole of the facing cloth, and be doubled over like it, or it may extend only halfway and be sewn to the facing cloth at the fold, as well as along the sides.
