658,509. Ventilating coats. KLEPPER, H. Dec. 23, 1949, No. 32976. Convention date. Aug. 1. [Class 141] A waterproof coat is provided with a cape-like back insertion 2 pleated to provide ventilating channels 3 which are open at their lower ends 7 on the outside of the garment and at their upper ends on the inside of the collar 4. The pleats preferably converge upwardly and stiffening strips are inserted between them, the channels being formed between the pleats and a permeable lining of the back insertion and between two layers of cloth in the collar.
