Abstract

453,117. Waterproof coats. LEVY, D., 35, Dutton Street, Cheetham, Manchester. March 4, 1935, No. 34131/34. [Class 141] A waterproof coat is formed with a box pleat b, Fig. 2, provided with ventilating eyelets d, which may pass through a reinforcing strip g, the three thicknesses of the pleat being secured together at intervals by stitching b<1>, Fig. 8, which is covered by patches c. Instead of using eyelets, the ventilating means may be provided by slitting the inner edges of the pleats and securing the slit edges together, internally or externally, by strips of net fabric. More than one box pleat may be provided, either at the back or front of the coat. Specification 358, 748 is referred to.
