Abstract

461,247. Waterproof garments. STRAUSS, S. G. Aug. 9, 1935, No. 22471. [Class 141] For the purposes of ventilation, a waterproof garment is provided with an extra outer layer a covering and extending below a cellular part b which forms the upper portion of the' back of the garment. The layer a is sewn along the sleeve openings, and is secured to the back of the garment at one or more separated points, such as at e, where reinforcement patches f are provided. Instead of the cellular insert b, the back of the coat beneath the covering layer may be perforated ; the perforations may be hemmed or eyeleted, and a piece of coloured cloth may be fixed to the inner side of the outer layer to render the perforations more visible. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 4675/99, [Class 141], and 428,286.
