Abstract
642,167. Pockets. HAMMERSLEY, S. H. Dec. 4, 1947, No. 32000. [Class 141] An imitation patch pocket is formed by pulling and working the garment cloth to make a fold 3, U-shaped in cross-section, which is sewn on to the cloth to form a raised edge on the outer face of the garment constituting the sides and bottom of the pocket, and a welt on the inner face to which the lining is sewn. The cloth may also be secured to the lining by an inner row of stitching 4. The slit 1 forming the pocket mouth may be reinforced by a strip of material 2 and a covering flap 5 may be provided.
