Abstract

The stopper has a central cylindrical portion which fits into the neck of the bottle. The cylinder has a pair of seals which press onto the end of the neck of the bottle. The stopper has with a plastics cover. There is a tear-away seal ring which is integral with the stopper and fits over the outside of the neck. The inside of the stopper has radial ribs to increase its strength. The stopper is covered with a thin film which fits over boss on the neck to prevent it being removed without tearing.
