Abstract

The pourer is plastic and comprises a hollow cylinder (5) fitting inside the neck of the bottle (1), a flange (6) contacting the top rim (2). The spout (8) comprises an annular ring, flared outwards and thinned. The closure, also plastic, is a hollow cylinder (10) closed at the bottom (9) and fitting inside the pourer. The top has an outward flange (11) turned down and up again (12, 14) to form an annular rib contacting the pourer flange. The lip is enclosed without being touched. The aluminium foil seal (15) fits over the top and sides of the assembly and is rolled under the annular bottle tib (3), a tear-off strip (21) being formed in the foil.
