Abstract

A rectangular container (1) to hold liquids has an integral lid which has a central seam joining two sides of a central tab (3). One end of the lid is fitted with double flaps (7) which are joined to the remainder of the lid by seams (6). The central flaps are closed and may be folded over flat onto the lid. The container is opened by raising the central flap and by tearing the two flaps (7) outwards and upwards to form a pourer. The central tab is fitted with an extension (5) to ease the lifting of the central tab.
