Abstract

In an appts. for doffing with an electrically-operated clutch between the driving and driven shaft, and an electrically-operated brake for the driven shaft, with control coils to execute a controlled electro-magnetic action on the clutch and brake, an electronic control circuit is provided with the first section as an integrating circuit with one of the control coils and the clutch, the second section is an impulse generator for structured rectangular impulses and the other control coil (I) of the brake, and a third section as a generator for a constant voltage and also the control coil (I) of the brake. The system allows doffing with an adjustable and controlled speed, preventing yarn breakage by operating at excessive speeds by giving a progressive speed control, the brake giving a swift action and a constant holding action to allow manual operation.
