Abstract

1334852 Winding COURTAULDS Ltd 19 April 1971 [9 March 1970] 11134/70 Heading D1J In a winding machine the traverse speed is varied at random intervals between at least two predetermined valves. In Fig. 1 a shaft 1 is driven at either of two speeds selected at random times by a device R, (e.g. as disclosed in Specification 908794), operating on electric clutches C, and C 2 . In Fig. 2 a motor M is supplied by a voltage whose valve varies between prechosen valves at random time intervals.
