Abstract

1,011,723. Electric selective signalling. RANK-BUSH MURPHY Ltd. July 16, 1962 [July 14, 1961], No. 25679/61. Heading G4H. A shaft 2 driven by motor 1 carries a disc 5 on which are marks 6, 7, 8, 9, the leading edges of which are evenly spaced from each other. A magnetic transducer, or, as shown, a photocell 12 produces short positive pulses from marks 6, 7, 8 as disc 5 rotates, and a long positive pulse from mark 9. The high-pass filter comprising capacitor 14 and resistor 15, Fig. 2, passes the short pulses unaltered but differentiates the long pulse. Diode 16 passes the short positive pulses derived from marks 6, 7, 8 and the leading edge of mark 9, and diode 17 passes the negative pulse derived from the trailing edge of mark 9.
