Abstract

Bobbin winding of textile threads.. To obtain an even predetermined tension when winding cone shaped bobbins, an adjustable bobbin support is used, the drive to the bobbin being by friction from an auxiliary cylindrical roll belt-driven through pulleys, the initial drive being from the motor shaft onto the face of one of the pulleys in the train. A number of ways of regulating the winding speed are described, using a constant speed motor as the original drive.
