Abstract

Each spinning unit (e.g. open end spinning unit, false twist bush) has an individual constant current drive motor which is connected via a tacho generator to a main drive motor which drives, pref. by a belt, the fibre feed devices of the spinning units, so that the speed of each individual drive motor is controlled in dependence on the main drive motor. Pref. the speed of the individual drive motors is controlled by a potentiometer, and each motor has a brake. Yarn tension is accurately controlled, and surges through the drive motors are eliminated thereby reducing damage.
