Abstract

The removable cover for sports stadium or tennis courts has a semi-cylindrical cover sheet with a flat or triangular trussed arch at each end, the cover sheet being wind-braced from behind by steel struts or cables. The arches can be vertical or slightly inclined. These self-supporting structures at each end have cables on which run metal or plastic platforms which support the cover, these platforms being operated by a motor or manually and enabling the cover to be rolled back. When in place, water-tightness is ensured by two flaps which cover the joint between the cover and the arches.
