Abstract

The sun shade frame is composed of rectangular arches (A, B, C). One arch (A) is fixed to thexterior wall of a house, shop etc. at various positions (7, 15) and the other arches are hinged to it. The metal bars of the arches have three compartments in cross section. A central compartment is square and allows the use of fixing bolts with expansible material at the upright supports (7). The top compartment of the transverse bars of each arch are provided with slots which house the fittings for the sun shade awning. Also on the front face of each transverse bar are two T-shaped grooves which are locations for the wall fixing clamps (15). The shade is raised and lowered by means of a rope (16).
