Abstract

The glass frame (1) consists of a series of glass or similar panels (2) which are fixed between uprighs (3) extending between the fabric of the building. Each upright (3) consists of two cables or wires (6) arranged in a crosswise position to the glss frame (1), and stretched between the sections (4) of the bu ilding fabric. At least two retainer pieces (13) are movably fixed along each of the two cables (6) and grip the sides of the panels (2). The cables (6) are joined by connecting pieces (10) which can be in the form of bars. The superimposed panels are joined long their edges by cross-pieces (5) consisting of two generally flat sections (17, 18), one of which has a lengthwise groove in, and the other a projection of complementary shape for fitting together.
