783,641. Metal sheeting. DE WENDEL ET CIE SOC. ANON. May 23. 1955 [May 24, 1954], No. 14770/55. Class 20(2) A composite. metal sheet for roofs of buildings &. is flexible and has a smooth face 3 and rigid reinforcements 4 or 7 fixed at 5 to the other face, the element 1 being a strip of indefinite length with the rigid reinforcements, 4 or 7 perpendicular to the length and the strip 2 being so flexible as to allow the element 1 to be rolled up as in Fig. 3 for transporting and storing, while the length of the element is such as to allow large areas to be covered without joints transverse to the longitudinal direction. The separate reinforcements 7 may be shaped as at 8. The longitudinal edges of the elements 1 may be turned up at 9, the reinforcements extending to the edge of the flange, and the flanges 9 of adjacent strips may be secured together by a separate strip clamped thereover, or one flange may be wider as at 10 and turned over to engage the flange 9 of the next strip.
