Abstract

1,227,794. Vehicle roofs. ED SCHARWACHTER K.G. 9 May, 1968 [20 June, 1967], No. 22115/68. Heading B7B. [Also in Division E1] The hoop sticks 26 which support a canvas hood of a lorry &c. are welded to the bent over ends 24 of struts 21 which together with struts 22 support the hoopsticks. Carriages 18 supporting the struts run in tracks 15 preferably of square section tubes having a slit 17 along its upper surface. The tracks are carried by members 12 erected from the lorry floor and supports 30 are pivotally mounted on the uprights at 29 and releasably engaged at 31 to the tracks so that they may be swung into a transverse outof-the-way position. The tracks 15 may be formed in removable sections.
