Abstract

Prefabricated frame which forms a foundation for a light building, such as a greenhouse or conservatory. It can be used, when assembled, as a template to mark out positions of foundation bolts. Anchor bolts with bearing plates at the end are buried in the ground with their threaded portion projecting. The frame is made of separate extruded aluminium sections with rebated corners, cut to length and bolted together (16, 18) using corner plates (20). These plates serve as fixing points for the bolts. After placing the assembled frame in position over these bolts, it is levelled up and secured using locking nuts and washers (28, 30).
