Abstract

1355661 Walls D W MORGAN 18 May 1971 [18 May 1970] 23999/70 Heading E1B A wall for a silo or farm building or for lining the walls of an existing building comprises hollow panels 1 secured together by battens 11 along their top edges, and secured to H-section posts by brackets comprising two U-section portions 6 and 7 respectively engaging the panels and the posts. In a modification the battens 11 are omitted and the U-section portion 7 extends the full distance between two opposed posts and has a further U-section portion engaging the second post. The flanges of the H-section posts may alternatively be parallel to the plane of the wall. A concrete foundation has a groove to receive the lower edges of the panels and a drainage channel. The panels may additionally be interconnected by fillets engaging grooves in their vertical edges and any horizontal joints between panels receive weather-strips.
