Abstract

A carton suitable for carrying pastries has a one piece blank with a bottom (1) flanked by two sides (2) with flaps, and the two portions (3) forming the cover. Above and below this bottom are the remaining two sides (2). One portion of the cover has a handle (5), folded (6) to give a double thickness, and flaps (4). The other portion has a slot (7) and flaps (4) with semicircular tongues and tabs (10, 11, 12). To erect, the sides are folded up and the cover portion with the handle folded over the top. The handle passes through the slot in the other portion the tongues and tabs locking in cutouts and slits (8, 9) in the sides.
