Abstract

There are rear chassis members (1) on which are fixed two longitudinal rails (2), the front and rear of which slope down from their centres. The under side of the chassis rear carries a jack (5) with a shoe (6) engaging the ground. A container (7) is mounted on front and rear props (8), (9) which can be lifted. The lower part of the container has two rollers (10) running on the rails (2). There is a stop in front of each roller. When the rollers are engaged, the front props (8) are lifted and the container is winched on to the vehicle. The rear props are then lifted and the jack (5) raised, the jack under the chassis being used to give necessary height adjustment.
