Abstract

In a method of unloading, abutment plates 17 are positioned at the front of a trailer with a load bearing platform 10, either before or during loading with bales (not shown), ropes 19 being stretched over the platform 10 as shown. At the unloading position the free ends of the ropes 19 are anchored and the trailer moved away, the bales dropping to the ground.
