Abstract

The trailer consists of a container (1) on a chassis which is composed of two legs (2) connected at their lower part by an axle (3) provided with wheels (4). A drawbar (5) is hinged at (6) on the upper part of the container with an axis parallel to the wheel axle. The lower part of the chassis is connected to the drawbar by means of a single or double acting hydraulic ram. When the latter is retracted the container pivots downwards so that its rear edge can, by backing the trailer, be forced into the material to be loaded, in the manner of a shovel. The jack is then operated, forcing the container into a level position for transport.
