Abstract

The upper part (A) of the cap is circula with a flat top and straight sides. Inside is an interrupted thread (4) to permit rescrewing when used for resealing the bottle contents, and a truncated cone (2) to seal inside the bottle neck. The truncated cone is closed by a pressed in plate (8) retained by an annular rib (9). Perforations (L) are provided, these being formed by an annular slit interrupted by tabs (5) bordered by triangular openings to provide elasticity. The lower part (B) of the cap consists of straight sides (7) reduced in thickness downwards from a point below the perforations. In this area is an internal rib (6) forming an annular ring which holds under a rim formed on the bottle neck.
