Abstract

The mechanism is for lifting sheet metal welded into rings forming the section of the reactor, and comprises a fixed vertical stay on which a slide, indexed upwards by a hydraulic ram and lockable at each stage, engages with the ring. The slide (17) position can be adjusted on the stay (3) at the end of each stage in the position determined finally by the ram, using a first key (28), engaging in it and the stay, which is adjustable at right angles to the direction of lifting. The ram can be mounted between the stay and an auxiliary slide (25) working in it, and which is lockable by a further transverse self-locking key (28a) to the lifting slide.
