Abstract

A pallet lifting device consists of a frame (2) with forks (1) which slide under the pallet, or enter holes in the pallet, with an overhead horizontal arm (3) parallel to the forks, thus forming a C shape, suspended at a pivot point (4) on the end of the upper arm (3) by an L shaped arm (5) carrying a loop (10) at the top for a lifting hook. The frame can swing about this pivot point (4) since the horizontal top arm (3) is a double arm with the L shaped arm between, thus remaining level when the load is not symmetrical. The swinging action is resisted by springs (7, 8) locates at the pivot point. A stop (6) is provided for the pivot arm.
