Abstract
Coating of hollow bricks with weather resistance enamel without causing deformation of the bricks is effected by the quick heating to above the upper transformation point of the glass of the brick surface by short exposure to this temp. in s firing kiln, followed by quick cooling to (pref. 20 degrees) below the upper transformation temp. after which the brick is cooled down slowly to prevent the setting up of internal stresses.
