Claims (8)

1. Förfarande för separering av p-xylen frän en blandning, som innehäller aromatiska C9-kolväten, p-xylen ooh ätminstone en annan xylenisomer, kännetecknat av att förfarandet omfattar 20 steg i vilka nämnda blandning bringas i kontakt med ett ad- sorptionsmaterial, som bestär av en kristallinisk aluminium-silikatzeolit, som innehäller joner av en metall ur grupper IA eller IIA vid utbytbara katjoniska ställen, i adsorptionsför-hällanden för astadkommande av selektiv adsorption av nämnda 25 p-xylen med nämnda adsorptionsmaterial och bildande av en raf-• finatström, som bestär av mindre kraftigt adsorberade aroma tiska C9-kolväten och nämnda andra xylenisomerer, och därefter det resulterande adsorptionsmaterialet som innehäller p-xylen bringas i kontakt med ett desorptionsmaterial, som bestär av 30 1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaftalen eller dess alkyl- eller dialkylde- rivat eller en blandning av dessa, i desorptionsförhällanden och nämnda p-xylen ätervinnes genom desorbering frän nämnda adsorptionsmaterial som en första extraktström. 35
2. Förfarande enligt patentkrav l, kännetecknat av att nämn da adsorptionsmaterial har valts ur gruppen som omfattar zeo-literna av typ X och typ Y. 92926
3. Förfarande enligt patentkrav 1, kännetecknat av att en andra extraktström ätervinnes i desorptionssteget efter den första extraktströmmen och den innehäller starkare bundna aro-matiska C9-kolväten. 5

Förfarande enligt patentkrav 1, kännetecknat av att nämn- da raffinatström fraktioneras för separat ätervinning av aro-matiska C9-kolväten, nämnda desorptionsmaterial som är väsent-ligt fritt fran aromatiska C9-kolväten, och nämnda andra xy-lenisomerer och det ätervunna desorptionsmaterialet äterförs 15 tili desorptionssteget i nämnda process.
6. Förfarande enligt patentkrav 1, kännetecknat av att nämnda desorptionsmaterial är tetralin, metyltetralin eller en blandning av dessa. 20
7. Förfarande enligt nägot av patentkraven 1-6, kännetecknat av att det förverkligas inom ett pulserande medströmssys-tem. 25
