Claims (12)
1. Menetelmä puun asetyloimiseksi käsittäen: - käsitellään puu asetylointiväliaineella puun asetylointireaktio-olosuhteissa, missä asetylointireaktio-olosuhteisiin sisältyy paine ainakin 1 barg; ja - kuivataan asetyloitu puu, jolloin kuivaus käsittää vähintään kaksi vaihetta, jolloin puu kuivataan ensin ensimmäisellä kuivausväliaineella ja sitten toisella kuivausväli- aineella, jolloin ensimmäinen kuivausväliaine käsittää asetylointiväliaineen höyryä, jolloin toinen kuivausaine on inertti kaasu; jolloin kuivaus ensimmäisessä vaiheessa — suoritetaan paineessa, joka on alhaisempi kuin asetylointireaktion paine; jolloin kui- vauslämpötila ensimmäisessä kuivausvaiheessa on alueella 150-190 °C tai jolloin en- simmäinen kuivausväliaine käsittää tulistettua asetylointiväliaineen höyryä.
2. Patenttivaatimuksen 1 mukainen menetelmä, missä ensimmäisellä kuivausväli- aineella on suurempi lämpökapasiteetti kuin toisella kuivausväliaineella.
3. — Jonkin edellisistä patenttivaatimuksista mukainen menetelmä, missä toinen kui- vausväliaine on typpi.
4. Patenttivaatimuksen 1 mukainen menetelmä, missä kuivaus toisessa vaiheessa suoritetaan paineessa, joka on pienempi kuin asetylointireaktion paine.
5. — Jonkin edellisistä patenttivaatimuksista mukainen menetelmä, missä asetyloin- tiväliaine käsittää etikkahappoa, etikkahappoanhydridiä tai niiden seosta.
6. Patenttivaatimuksen 1 mukainen menetelmä, missä asetylointiväliaine käsittää etikkahapon ja etikkahappoanhydridin seosta, joka sisältää etikkahappoanhydridiä edullisesti vähintään 50 paino-%, edullisemmin vähintään 85 paino-%.
7. Jonkin edellisistä patenttivaatimuksista mukainen menetelmä, missä asetyloin- tiolosuhteisiin sisältyy kuumennus lämpötilaan, joka on alueelle 160-190 °C.
8. — Jonkin edellisistä patenttivaatimuksista mukainen menetelmä, missä kuivaus- lämpötila on toisessa kuivausvaiheessa alueella 150-190°C.
9. — Jonkin edellisistä patenttivaatimuksista mukainen menetelmä, missä ensimmäi- sessä kuivausvaiheessa viipymäaika on 5-25 min ja, valinnaisesti, kaasun/kiintoai- neen virtausnopeus on 1-6 massasuhde.
10. Jonkin edellisistä patenttivaatimuksista mukainen menetelmä, missä toisessa kuivausvaiheessa viipymäaika on 15-40 min ja, valinnaisesti, kaasun/kiintoaineen virtausnopeus on 0,7-5 massasuhde.
11. Jonkin edellisistä patenttivaatimuksista mukainen menetelmä, missä nestepitoi- suus asetyloidussa puussa on asetyloinnin jälkeen ja ennen kuivausta vähintään 55 paino-% kuiva-aineesta.
12. Jonkin edellisen patenttivaatimuksen mukainen menetelmä, missä nestepitoi- suus asetyloidussa puussa alennetaan ensimmäisen kuivausvaiheen aikana vähintään arvoon 2-8 paino-% kuiva-aineesta ja toisessa kuivausvaiheessa arvoon enintään 0,5 paino-% kuiva-aineesta.
