Description
Claims (11)
- 木材のアセチル化方法であって、
− アセチル化反応条件が少なくとも1bargの圧力であること含む木質アセチル化反応条件下で木材をアセチル化媒体で処理すること;
および、
− 最初に第1の乾燥媒体で、次いで第2の乾燥媒体で木材が乾燥される少なくとも2つの工程を含むアセチル化された木材を乾燥することを含み;該第1の乾燥媒体がアセチル化媒体蒸気を含むものであり、該第2の乾燥媒体が不活性ガスであり;第1工程における乾燥がアセチル化反応圧力よりも低い圧力で行われ;第1の乾燥工程における乾燥温度が150−190℃の範囲である、
木材のアセチル化方法。 - 第1の乾燥媒体は、第2の乾燥媒体よりも高い熱容量を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の乾燥媒体が窒素である、請求項1又は2のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 第2の工程における乾燥も、アセチル化反応圧力よりも低い圧力で行われる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- アセチル化媒体が、酢酸、無水酢酸、またはそれらの混合物を含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- アセチル化媒体が、酢酸と無水酢酸との混合物を含み、好ましくは少なくとも50重量%、より好ましくは少なくとも85重量%の無水酢酸を含む、請求項3に記載の方法。
- アセチル化条件が、160−190℃の範囲の温度に加熱することを含む、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 第1の乾燥工程において、滞留時間が5−25分であり、場合により気体流量対固体流量比が1−6質量比である、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 第2の乾燥工程において、滞留時間が15−40分であり、場合により気体流量対固体流量比が0.7−5質量比である、請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- アセチル化および乾燥前のアセチル化された木材中の液体含量が、乾燥基準で少なくとも55重量%である、請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- アセチル化された木材中の液体含量が、第1の乾燥工程中に乾燥基準で少なくとも2−8重量%に、第2の乾燥工程で乾燥基準で最大0.5重量%に減少する、請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
