Description
実質的に無酸素の連続式アセチル化反応器に木質材料を供給し、木質アセチル化反応条件下で少なくとも1.5bargの圧力で連続アセチル化反応器中で木質材料をアセチル化媒体で処理するする工程を含む。好ましくは、実質的に全てのアセチル化媒体は、少なくとも1.5bargの圧力で木質材料に供給される。
Claims (19)
- 実質的に酸素を含まない環境において少なくとも1.5bargの圧力で木質アセチル化反応条件下でアセチル化媒体を用いて160−190℃の範囲の温度でアセチル化を実施する、木質材料の連続アセチル化方法。
- (a)実質的に酸素を含まない環境下で木質材料を連続アセチル化反応器に供給し、
(b)木質アセチル化反応条件下で、少なくとも1.5bargの圧力で連続アセチル化反応器中で木質材料をアセチル化媒体で処理する
工程を含む、木質材料の連続アセチル化方法。 - アセチル化反応器中の酸素含有量が0.8容積%未満である、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記アセチル化反応器に供給される木質材料の酸素含有量が0.8容積%未満である、請求項2に記載の方法。
- バッチ容器内に木質材料を供給する工程;
前記バッチ容器内に供給された木質材料から、酸素除去された木質材料を提供する真空を用いてバッチ式に酸素を除去し、その後、酸素除去された木質材料を不活性かつ無酸素雰囲気下に留め置く工程;
前記バッチ容器から、酸素除去された木質材料を不活性かつ無酸素雰囲気下で連続アセチル化反応器に移す工程;
酸素除去後、アセチル化の前に、前記酸素除去された木質材料を少なくとも1.5bargの増圧下におき、次いで、前記連続アセチル化反応器において、該木質材料を、木質材料のアセチル化反応条件として、少なくとも1.5bargの圧力でありアセチル化反応器内の酸素含有量が0.8容積%未満である条件下にて、アセチル化媒体で処理する工程により、
木質材料が連続アセチル化反応器に移送された後に、連続アセチル化反応器内で、アセチル化媒体の少なくとも80重量%が木質材料に供給されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記アセチル化媒体が、気体および液体の両方の形態で前記反応器に供給される、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記液体が、噴霧によって前記木質材料と接触する、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 酸素を除去した後の木質材料を、アセチル化前に少なくとも1.5bargの圧力にする請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記アセチル化媒体が、酢酸、無水酢酸、またはそれらの混合物を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記アセチル化反応器に供給されるアセチル化媒体のガス状形態と液体形態との重量比が0.5/1から4/1の範囲である、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記木質材料が、0.1cmから3cmの高さおよび幅、および1〜7cmの長さの大きさを有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記木材は、HPLCにより測定して少なくとも17重量%のアセチル含量にアセチル化される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記アセチル化媒体の実質的に全てが、少なくとも1.5bargの圧力に達した後に前記木質材料に供給される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記アセチル化反応が実質的に触媒の非存在下で行われる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 木質アセチル化反応条件下の滞留時間が1時間未満である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記アセチル化反応器がアセチル化反応ゾーン(A)を含み、および、前記アセチル化反応の平均温度の+/−15℃以内の平均温度を有する木質材料が、少なくとも1.5bargの圧力および1時間未満の滞留時間を有する前記アセチル化反応ゾーン(A)に導入される、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 木質材料が、アセチル化反応ゾーン(A)に導入される前にアセチル化媒体中で飽和されている、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 反応器に添加されるアセチル化媒体の大部分がアセチル化反応ゾーン(A)の上流に添加される、請求項16または17に記載の方法。
- アセチル化反応ゾーン(A)における木質材料の平均滞留時間がアセチル化反応器の滞留時間の65%より大きいものである、請求項16〜18のいずれか1項にに記載の方法。
