Claims (8)

1. Individualiserade, tvärbundna trämassacellulosafibrer, kännetecknade av att 15 de som tvärbindningsmedel innehaller tillräckligt med C3-C9-polykarboxylsyra med tvä eller flera karboxylgrupper och 3-9 kolatomer och, om man sä önskar, en syre-eller svavelatom eller atomer i kedja eller i ring, vid vilken karboxylgruppema är fästade, vilket tvärbindningsmedel har reagerat med fibrema och bildat estertvär-bindningar inom fibrema, da tvärbindningsmedlet är valt bland foljande: 20 (a) alifatiska och alicykliska C3-C9-polykarboxylsyror, som antingen är mättade eller • < olefmiskt omättade, och som har ätminstone tre karboxylgmpper per molekyl; och (b) alifatiska och alicykliska C3-C9-polykarboxylsyror, som har tvä karboxylgmpper per molekyl och där en kol-koldubbelbindning är placerad i alfa,beta-läge tili en eller bäda karboxylgruppema, 25 da den ena karboxylgruppen i tvärbindningsmedlet har separerats frän den andra karboxylgrappen antingen med tva eller tre kolatomer, förutsatt att fibrema inte innehaller glutaraldehyd som reagerat med dem, och de tvärbundna fibremas vattenretentionsvärde är 38-60.
2. Induvidualiserade, tvärbundna fibrer enligt patentkrav 1, kännetecknade av 30 att cirka 0,5 mol-% - cirka 10,0 mol-% av tvärbindningsmedlet, beräknat pä grund 105830 av molantal i cellulosa-anhydroglukos, har reagerat med fibrema, bildande tvär-bindningar inom fibrema.
3. Individualiserade, tvärbundna fibrer enligt patentkrav 2, kännetecknade av att mängden tvärbmdningsmedel är 1,5 moI-% - 6,0 mol-%.
4. Individualiserade, tvärbundna fibrer enligt nägot av patentkraven 1-3, känne tecknade av att vattenretentionsvärdet är 30-45, vilket värde har mätts med en metod, som definierats i beskrivningen av denna ansökan.
5. Individualiserade, tvärbundna fibrer enligt nägot av patentkraven 1-4, kännetecknade av att tvärbindningsmedlet är citronsyra, 1,2,3,4-butantetrakarboxylsyra, 10 eller 1,2,3-propantrikarboxylsyra.
6. Induvidualiserade, tvärbundna fibrer enligt patentkrav 5, kännetecknade av att tvärbindningsmedlet är citronsyra.
7. Induvidualiserade, tvärbundna fibrer enligt nägot av patentkraven 1-4, kännetecknade av att tvärbindningsmedelet är oxibämstenssyra, tartratmonobämstens- 15 syra, som har formeln KOCH — CH - O - CH — CH2 Il II COOH COOH COOH COOH eller tartratdibämstenssyra, som har formeln ·:; 20 CH2 — CH-O-CH — CH-O-CH — CH2 Il II II COOH COOH COOH COOH COOH COOH
8. Individualiserade, tvärbundna fibrer enligt patentkrav 7, kännetecknade av att tvärbindningsmedlet är oxibämstenssyra. i
