PROCEDIMIENTO PARA MEJORAR LA LONGEVIDAD DE ELEMENTOS REFRACTARIOS PERMEABLES ALOJADOS EN EL FONDO DE LOS RECIPIENTES METALURGICOS DE AFINO, EN PARTICULAR EN CONVERTIDORES DE ACERIAS.COMPRENDE LAS SIGUIENTES OPERACIONES: PRIMERA, DURANTE EL AFINO DE UNA CARGA CUALQUIERA, SE FORMA UNA LECHADA O ESCORIA FLUIDA, QUE A CONTINUACION SE CONSERVA EN EL CONVERTIDOR TRAS LA COLADA DEL METAL LIQUIDO POR BASCULAMIENTO DEL CONVERTIDOR; SEGUNDA, SE COLOCA DE NUEVO EL CONVERTIDOR EN POSICION VERTICAL DE MODO QUE LA ESCORIA SE DEPOSITE Y SE REPARTA SOBRE EL FONDO;Y POR ULTIMO, SE DEJA ENDURECER LA ESCORIA Y SE ASEGURA SU FRAGUADO EN EL FONDO, MANTENIENDO A LA VEZ EN LOS ELEMENTOS REFRACTARIOS PERMEABLES UNA PRESION SUFICIENTE PARA ASEGURAR UN SUMINISTRO PERMANENTE DE FLUIDO DE REMOCION.
