Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent a furnace bottom brick in the vicinity of a tapping port from local abnormal corrosion by introducing a furnace bottom repairing material for a blast furnace containing a large amount of fine powders selected from metal titanium and a specific titanium compound into the inside of a blast furnace from a tapping port by using a mud gun.
CONSTITUTION: A furnace bottom repairing material 2 for a blast furnace containing 50W95wt% of at least one or more of fine powder such as metal titanium, titanium dioxide, ilmenite, titanium carbide or titanium nitride and an appropriate amount of at least one or more of a clay such as bentonite, and a binder such as coal-tar or a liquid phenol resin respectively is filled in a leading end portion of a mud gun and a conventional mud material 3 is filled in a tailing end portion of said mud gun to introde said repairing material into a blast furnace bottom when a tapping port is closed.
