Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce a deacidification cost, in deacidifying a molten steel by Al, by a method wherein a pouring pipe of a bucket bottom part containing molten Al is directly immersed in the molten steel and the molten Al is poured into the molten steel under pressure.
CONSTITUTION: The molten Al in an Al melting furnace is poured into the bucket 2 in a necessary amount and, thereafter, said bucket is hung by a crane 3 to connect the pouring pipe 5 to a flange 6 of a bottom part thereof. Said bucket is moved to an upper part of a ladle 21 filled with the molten steel and descended to immerse the pouring pipe 5 into the molten steel. Subsequently, an inert gas such as a nitrogen gas or an argon gas is introduced from a gas supply pipe as well as, by opening a pouring port of a bottom part of the bucket, the molten Al is added into the molten steel to forcibly deacidify said molten steel and, during the deacidification process for producing a killed steel or a semikilled steel, the pouring pipe 5 is moved along with the bucket 2 in the molten steel by the crane 3 to enhance a deacidification speed and the deacidification efficiency.
