PROCEDIMIENTO DE SEPARACION DE UN MATERIAL DE TIPO OXIDO QUE CONTIENE HIERRO,DE CONSTITUYENTES INDESEABLES. SE CLORAN CANTIDADES DE MATERIAL FORMANDO UN LECHO FLUIZADO DE DICHO MATERIAL CON PARTICULAS DE CARBONO, ESTANDO COMPRENDIDA LA TEMPERATURA DEL LECHO FLUIZADO ENTRE 800 Y 1.110 C, ADMITIENDO ESTE UN GAS QUE CONTIENE CLORO, CON UNA CONCENTRACION DEL MISMO ENTRE EL 20 Y EL 60 POR 100 EN VOLUMEN REFERIDA A LOS GASES AÑADIDOS AL LECHO, Y HACIENDO REACCIONAR EL CLORO CON EL HIERRO PRESENTE EN EL MINERAL PARA PRODUCIR CLORURO FERROSO. SE PONE EN CONTACTO EL EFLUENTE GASEOSO DEL LECHO CON UNA CANTIDAD DE OXIGENO PARA OXIDAR MAS DEL 50 POR 100 DEL CLORURO FERROSO Y PRODUCIR UNA MEZCLA DE CLORURO DE HIERRO Y OXIDO FERRICO. SE CONDENSA EL CLORURO DE HIERRO, SEPARANDOLO DEL EFLUENTE GASEOSO Y REVOLATILIZANDOLO. SE PONE EN CONTACTO CON OXIGENO PARA DAR OXIDO FERRICO CON DESPRENDIMIENTO DE CLORO Y, POR ULTIMO, SE RECIRCULA EL CLORO AL LECHO FLUIZADO DE CLORACION. SE UTILIZA PARA LA PROV ISION DE MATERIAS PRIMAS PARA LA PRODUCCION DE ACEROS ESPECIALES.
