PROCEDIMIENTO PARA PREPARAR CUERO Y PELO ANIMAL A BASE DE PIELES EN BRUTO, CUYO PELAJE SEA ADECUADO PARA UNA TRANSFORMACION EN LA INDUSTRIA TEXTIL. LAS PIELES EN BRUTO, CONVENIENTEMENTE DESCARNADA, SE TRATAN EN ESTADO HIDRATADO EN UN CALDO ACIDO DE PIQUELADO NO HINCHANTE CON UNA COMPOSICION DE 30-80 G/L DE CLORURO SODICO, 5-10 G/L DE SULFATO AMONICO, 4-15 ML/L DE ACIDO ORGANICO O INORGANICO, 0,5-1,5 G/L DE SUSTANCIA TENSOACTIVAS NO IONICAS. ESTE PROCESO SE REALIZA A UNA TEMPERATURA DE 20-30 C Y DURANTE 6-48 HORAS. TRAS UN TRATAMIENTO NEUTRALIZANTE O ALCALINO, SE EXPONEN EN UN NUEVO BAÑO A LA ACCION DE ENZIMAS DE APELAMBRADO HASTA EL DESPRENDIMIENTO DE LOS PELOS. SE SEPARAN ESTOS DE LA PIEL, SE LAVAN Y SE SECAN, SOMETIENDOSE LA PIEL EN TRIPA DESPUES DEL APELAMBRADO A OTROS PROCESOS DE TRANSFORMACION CONOCIDOS. DE LOS PELOS, DE CONEJO, POR EJEMPLO, OBTENIDOS SE OBTIENEN FIELTROS, HILOS ADECUADOS PARA LA INDUSTRIA TEXTIL, Y DE LA PIEL EN TRIPA SE PUEDE FABRICAR CUERO ATERCIOPELADO, NAPA O GAMUZ.
